In this article, the author introduces the main features of properly designed transportation system. There is also an explanation of how important it is for sustainable development to have a good mobility capabilities in the city. Moreover, one of the main components of the whole system is public transport. The author also explains the method of public transport valuation which enables to locate problematic areas, where the distance to the nearest stop is too big. Furthermore, the method of public transport valuation allows to situate new stops in optimal locations. Thanks to this method the verification of potential new investments concerning public transport can be also conducted
