About the Journal
Social Sciences Forum is a scientific journal that was created at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland in 2022.
Its aim is to publish high-quality, original articles related to pivotal issues in social sciences, both in theoretical and practical aspect. The manuscripts would further the progress in various social sciences, such as pedagogy, international relations, political sciences, sociology and security sciences, which allows to present an interdisciplinary approach. The most important aspect of the publishing process is ensuring high-quality of the manuscripts submitted to the Journal. All articles go through a double-blind peer review.
The Editorial Office invites authors to submit manuscripts either in Polish or in English. Each article receives an individual DOI (digital object identifier).

The Journal is an annual, published online in open access. To reach the highest standards in publication ethics, all issues and articles should be prepared according to the scientific, ethics and technical rules prepared by the Ministry of Science and Committee on Publication Ethics (https://publicationethics.org/).
There are no charges for submission and publication.
The Journal has chosen to apply the Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial 3.0 License (CC BY-NC 3.0) to all manuscripts to be published.
The Editorial Office agrees to share published articles on authors’ websites, websites of universities and in repositories.
The publisher uses the Crossref anti-plagiarism program.
Copies of the journal are archived at the Library of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and the National Library in Warsaw.
The publication of the journal is funded by the internal resources of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Warmia and Mazury.
AI Policy
The Editorial Board of Social Sciences Forum permits authors to use AI tools for purposes related to:
- editing text for style and language,
- reviewing scientific literature,
- generating concepts and auxiliary hypotheses,
- certain stages of data analysis (e.g., coding qualitative data, analysing quantitative data)
- translating a text.
The outputs generated by artificial intelligence must be verified by the Author. Authors should be aware that artificial intelligence tools may make errors in data analysis, generate content lacking objectivity, produce false information, or present distorted knowledge. The author bears the full responsibility for the results of the work and the content of the article.
Authors should also bear in mind that fragments of their texts and data may be used to train AI-based systems. Data should be appropriately protected.
Artificial intelligence tools cannot replace the creative work of the Author, especially their role in:
- designing research,
- generating or creating data,
- scientific analysis and interpretation,
- drawing conclusions.
AI-based tools cannot be recognised as authors, co-authors, or sources of citations. The Author bears full responsibility for the content of the article (factual accuracy, originality, reliability of citations, and respect for copyright).
The use of AI tools in preparing the text should be disclosed in the article, for example, in the methodology section or in an appropriate statement placed before the references. It is necessary to indicate which AI tools were used, as well as the purpose, scope, and manner of their application, and to declare that the Authors assume responsibility for the outcomes of using AI tools.
Article reviews should be written independently by experts without the use of artificial intelligence. The reviewed manuscript is treated as a confidential document and may not be entered, in whole or in part, into artificial intelligence systems.
