As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.


All manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal “Forum Nauk Społecznych” (Social Sciences Forum) are reviewed for compliance with ethical standards (as outlined above), as well as for their reliability, substantive content, alignment with the journal’s profile, and scholarly relevance.

PREPARING THE TITLE PAGE

The title page must include the following: article title in Polish and English, full name(s) of the author(s), with the corresponding author clearly indicated; ORCID ID(s), institutional affiliation (university name), e-mail address, a conflict of interest statement using the following wording: “The author(s) declare no conflict of interest.” The title page must be submitted as a separate supplementary file.

PREPARING THE MANUSCRIPT

For Polish-language submissions the text must include: title in Polish, abstract in Polish (150–250 words), keywords in Polish (3–6 terms), title in English, abstract in English (150–250 words), keywords in English (3–6 terms), main text of the manuscript.

For English-language submissions the text must include title in English, abstract in English (150–250 words), keywords in English (3–6 terms), title in Polish, abstract in Polish (150–250 words), keywords in Polish (3–6 terms), main text of the manuscript.

ABSTRACT

Abstract in Polish and English must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Original research articles: Abstracts must include IntroductionResearch AimMethodResults/Findings, and Conclusion.
  • Review articles: Abstracts must include IntroductionResearch AimState of Knowledge, and Summary.
  • Abstract should include 150-250 words. Avoid abbreviations (define if necessary) and bibliographic references.
  • Provide 3-6 keywords immediately after the abstract.

TEXT FORMATTING AND WORD LIMITS
The maximum length of the text should not exceed 40,000 characters including spaces, bibliography included. The article should be formatted on A4 paper (30 lines per page, 60 characters per line), with margins of 2.5 cm, line spacing of 1.5, and Times New Roman font, size 12.

Structure
A submitted original research article should have the following structure: Introduction (including an analysis of the current state of knowledge), Research problem and aim, Methods (including description of the study group), Results, Discussion (including implications and research limitations), Conclusion, References.
A submitted review article should have the following structure: Introduction, Research problem and aim, State of knowledge, Summary, Conclusions, References.
Text should be edited in APA style, 7th edition.

Tables and Figures
Tables and figures in the text should be clear and used solely to present essential data. All tables and figures in the article must be numbered with Arabic numerals according to the order in which they appear. The table title should be placed above the table and written on the line following the word “Table” and its number. Lines forming the table should be limited to horizontal lines separating column headers from the presented results, and a line at the bottom of the table.

  • Margins: 2.5 cm; Line spacing: 1.5; Font: Times New Roman 12 pt.

TABLES AND FIGURES

  • Number all tables/figures consecutively in Arabic numerals.
  • Place table titles above the table (e.g., Table 1. Title).
  • Use only horizontal lines to separate column headers and the bottom of the table.
