Katastrofa i kontrola niepewności. Pytania i hipotezy z socjologii dyskursu katastrofy

Abstrakt
Globalny strach i nadzieja nieodmiennie charakteryzują zbiorowe i indywidualne postawy wobec licznych w historii zaraz. Pandemia Covid-19 jest jedną z nich. Jej opisy naukowe i popularne miały liczne, społeczne uwarunkowania. Badanie ich dyskursów jest zadaniem socjologii. Przedsięwzięciem głównym jest w takich ujęciach analiza form i treści dyskursów dominujących, medycznych, publicznych, kulturowych. Z konkluzji wynika, że zmiany stanów chorobowych i potencjalnie śmiertelnych ich efektów są także społecznie zdeterminowane w stopniu możliwym do określenia i do kontroli poziomu ich istotności. Hipoteza ta jest silnie kulturowa, to znaczy, że społeczeństwa z wysokim kapitałem kulturowym mają większe szanse ratunku. Idzie tylko o pytanie, jaka struktura społeczna gwarantuje sukces.
