Abstract

The article presents a research on the interwar period in the life of Vasyl Shchurat, a literary scholar, translator, teacher, ethnographer and the first Galician comparativist. Little is known about the life and work of the Galician researcher during this period, so the article analyses both archival autobiographical materials and the memoirs of his acquaintances.
