Abstract

Climate change and the occurrence of extreme weather events, which are one of the consequences of change are of interest to scientific bodies and the governments of many countries. On the Polish territory we see the accumulation of these phenomena in some regions. The research was conducted on rural Warmia and Mazury. In this area, the main economic trends are agriculture and tourism that depend on natural weather conditions. For the purpose of isolating similar subpopulations (municipalities) used five analysis techniques. The best results are achieved Ward’s method, because focusing formed at a very early level of aggregation. Distinguished four homogeneous groups of municipalities. The methods used are a convenient tool for analysis of space in terms of the possibility of introducing preventive actions and adaptation at each stage space management.
