Abstract

Climate change is occurring on the ground have become an undeniable fact. The effects of ongoing changes include more frequent occurrence of extreme weather events. Countries affiliated to the European Union decided on actions to counter the setting changes. The implementation of objectives related to adaptation to climate change requires ongoing assessment of areas in terms of the risk of losses on them. The article topic related to the assessment of the risk of losses due to extreme weather events in rural areas. For this purpose built algorithm (AAOR) that facilitates such an assessment, which took into account local environmental conditions, spatial and data on historical losses. With the proposed algorithm made an individual risk assessment for each of the surveyed municipalities. Such an evaluation may provide a basis for further activities related to the location of individual solutions in the studies planning, furnishing and agriculture, or the development strategies of the local municipality or village. The proposed compilation methods used in the algorithm is a convenient tool for analysis of space in terms of the possibility of extreme weather events.
