„Bezradni rząd, ministrowie, żandarmi...” Recepcja poezji w punk rocku XX i XXI wieku. Wybrane przykłady polskie

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the association of Polish punk rock with poetry in the 20th and 21st centuries. Considerations deal with punk rock in the contemporary, broad sense. The nonconformist attitude of poets active during the interwar years, eg. Julian Tuwim and Maria Pawlikowska- Jasnorzewska, influenced and inspired some performers significant for the Polish independent punk scene, such as Stan Oskarżenia, FATE, Odnowa. Although the majority of punk rock bands had called for a boycott of Christianity as an institutionalized religion, some of them based their philosophy on Christian values. Crucial examples are Polish performers: Włochaty, the above-mentioned FATE, Trupia Czaszka. The last of these bands evoked controversial poems written by the late Baroque writer Józef Baka. The famous record Gajcy! – an experimental musical project coordinated by the Warsaw Uprising Museum – presents poems interpreted by influential punk bands, such as Dezerter and Armia, as well as important post-punk performers: Made in Poland and Lech Janerka.
