The author of this article analyzed Hrabal late literary work with a heroine Dubenka and reminds some intertextual (inter-literary) relations with the former European cultural codes and topoi in literature (Ariadne and Theseus, Minnesang, Dante and Beatrice, Goethe and Ulrika, Rilke).
