Interreligious dialogue plays a very important role in the contemporary world. The article explores this phenomenon on the example of Galicia, by analyzing the mutual influences between Polish and Ukrainian religious traditions throughout the centuries. The authors analyze the shared roots and interactions between both religious traditions, and examine historic architecture, religious rituals, and monastic orders that reflect the distinctive character of multicultural dialogue. The article evaluates the role of religion in shaping a region’s social identity as a significant issue in the contemporary world, particularly in the context of international relations.
