Abstract

Florian Znaniecki described a clear methodological program in accordance with philosophy should be cultivated in his early writings already. Philosophical systems should be treated as value systems because it allows to avoid some traps connected with relativism. Considerations the philosophical systems should tend towards general synthesis including the whole of culture. The basic instruments of such considerations are: 1. Aksjological synthesis - makes possible to define a structure of values which we deal with. 2. Genetic synthesis - makes possible to define connections between an investigated system and the whole of culture. Such a program makes possible to create the synthetic theory of all philosophical systems - that is what should be the superior aim of every philosophical output. Znaniecki’s program is still current, which makes it significant.
