Bertrand Russel and a Problem of Scepticysm

Elżbieta Marczak-Gąsiorowska

Abstract

In this article I try to explain Bertrand Russell’s idea of the scepticism. The problem are discussed in the context of certainty of knowledge and its scopes. Scepticism (the view that there is no absolute knowledge), is in opposition to dogmatism. Scepticism is an attitude of doubt that any knowledge is absolute accompanied with reliable truth or doubt whether it is ever possible to attain perfect certainty of knowledge.
