Through the thousands of years, the art of gardens reflects the mans relation to the nature and creates the lively vision of the world. On space of the ages, it unites cultural, historical and religious values, becoming the specific mosaic. Moreover, the direction of gardens development had been shaped by leading philosophical tendencies of each periods. Simultaneously, the art of gardens, of which history is expressed by changes of human desires and endeavours, in itself creates the form of values in different cultures. The paper presents the evolution of gardens in outline and past output of the art of gardens. It also shows the influence of prevailing gardens conceptions on the manner of natures perception in different epochs. The increased knowledge of the history and values of the art of gardens gives people to understand what the traditional substance of its existences means. As well, it awakes the human needs to further creating of ..lively and nicely fragrant natures images” in traditional shapes.
