The article consists of two parts. The first describes the analysis of the fascist movement carried out by Georges Bataille in the 1930s.
This philosopher emphasized the psychological determinants responsible for the emergence of a specific fascist unity. The second part presents an analysis of post-fascism symmetrical to Bataille’s. In connection with the social changes diagnosed by the author, the emphasis was placed on information factors. The basic condition considered here is the transformation of the social base and superstructure into domains separate from each other. The article is a part of the 21st-century discussion on the refascization of the political landscape.
