Abstract

Dreams in Daniil Kharms’ works are formed on the basis of Hinduism which treats a dream as
a special kind of reality. They assume the shape of a literary dimension and refer to the rich oniric
problems found in the works by Shakespeare, Proust, Gogol, and Chekhov. Beyond the limits of
absurdity connected with reality, Kharms hides another fully-dimensional world, open for individuals
who are deeply involved in the process of literary creation.
