Abstract

Witold Zygmunt Kulerski was the son of Wiktor Kulerski, the founder and publisher of the Grudziądz Gazette (Gazeta Grudziądzka). Kulerski immigrated to France shortly after the outbreak of World War II, and he became the secretary of Stanisław Mikołajczyk, the incumbent vice-chairman of the Polish National Council in France. Kulerski and Mikołajczyk returned to Poland after the war. After Mikołajczyk had fled Poland, Kulerski, his closest associate, was arrested and held in prison in Mokotów (Warsaw). He was tried and imprisoned in Wronki. The presented document is a personal testimony of a political prisoner under the communist regime.
