There was in 1924 a very well-known course of agriculture organized by Rudolf Steiner in the Koberwitz Palace (at present time named Kobierzyce) next to Wrocław. It contributed to develop biodynamical agriculture or broadly viewing ecological agriculture. The concept of biodynamical agriculture in Poland was developed by sir Stanisław Franciszek Karłowski from Szelejewo next to Gostyń (Wielkopolska). He was also one of the well-known advocate of it in Europe. The theoretical conception of Rudolf Steiner and the experience of sir S. F. Karłowski are getting more important on the term of the 21th century. Present extensive agriculture is going through a crisis of it farther development. It’s a main reason ofincreasing of interests of the problems of ecological agriculture and ecologisation of agriculture. There are created new challenges for agriculture as a result of globalization of Polish economy and Polish participation in EU as member. The main problem is to preserve the typical ecological and socio-cultural character of the agriculture.
