Knowledge as the Transmision of Reality

Wacław Sklinsmont

Abstract

In the information theory, the observer has at his disposal a set of data and meanings, referred to as a thesaurus, and is „attacked” by the surroundings with multi-dimensional space of information. Only some pieces of this information fit in with his thesaurus. Information is transformed at the points of fitting the observer’s thesaurus and the co-thesaurus of his surroundings. Reality is in fact a sum of the actual and virtual realities. In this sense reality may be treated as a complex whole. Life is participating in a constant transformation of one local reality into another one. Just like phisical reality comes to life thanks to coming closer to it by means ot transport (mobility), the virtual reality becomes real in consequence of heightening the level of focus of perception by increasing the chosen range of knowledge.
