Abstract

The latest technologies, such as virtual reality or telerobots, raise new epistemological doubts. Whether through a computer representation, a person is able to get knowledge? In the case of the knowledge provided at a distance, mediated information, mass communication and cyber-attacks, the answer to this question is extremely difficult. This paper is an outline of telepistemology, a study which is an attempt to explain the fundamental epistemological problems through their involvement in computermediated cognitive processes.
