YouTube as a Tool for Creating an Image Based on the Example of Videoblog Kammel Czanel

Abstract

In this article the results of research aimed at analysing how Tomasz Kammel uses YouTube as a tool for creating his media image are presented. The hypothesis that the journalist is trying to get closer to an ideal type of advisor has been positively verified. Tomasz Kammel in the materials on his channel strongly emphasizes independence, which television could not provide him. He focuses on building an online community, he does not create with his audience a classical master-pupil relationship. He uses acquired knowledge and his own experience, thus emphasizing his professionalism. He commits minor errors at the level of verbal and non-verbal communication, but they do not interfere significantly in the reception of content.
