Abstract

The article first defines the term video blog. The author explains why people publish their own recording on the Internet and tries to explain the phenomenon of video blogs. To better illustrate the subject, the author presents several currently popular YouTubers and analyses their activities on the Internet. Many of them have also achieved fame in real life. The author focuses on factors which may help people achieve fame on the Internet and shows how the YouTubers seek popularity outside the Internet. The article also assesses the receipt of video blogs. The purpose of this is to determine the reasons why people watch video blogs.
