Abstract

Information and communication technologies (ICTs) play an increasingly important role in modern societies. They are used to gather, process and share an ever-growing amount of data and information. The aim of the author of the article is to present the possibilities offered by Big Data mechanisms and their practical use in political campaigns. The challenges, opportunities, and dangers of using and processing “big data” are presented. An attempt to answer the question whether the data analysis may affect the campaigns and election results is taken.
