Abstract

The aim of the article was to define the way of presenting issues of identity and community in selected popular TV series such as „Ranczo”, „Ojciec Mateusz”, „Na dobre i na złe”. Issues of identity and community are important elements of national security in the social area. This is especially true of contemporary conditions in which the differences between nations are blurred as a result of globalisation. The area of culture and society is no exception, and changes are possible thanks to the development of the mass media. This makes it possible to locate social models and present them in different parts of the world. Television series are one of the products that modern TV stations have to offer viewers. Their popularity depends on the conviction of the audience about the reality of the presented content and identification with the characters. The issue of presenting important social points can shape both the attitudes and behavior of people for whom television is the primary information medium.
