As part of the journal’s open access policy, the articles published in the print edition of Echa Przeszłości are made freely available online, not later than six months after the publication date.

- The journal abides by editorial principles that guarantee the highest research and editorial quality of the published articles.

- Publication requirements
- The author must guarantee that the content submitted for publication is original.
- The author is required to submit a statement confirming that the content submitted for publication is original and does not violate copyrights (according to the definition of copyrights in the Act on Copyrights and Related Rights).
- For manuscripts with two or more authors, the authors must indicate the percentage contribution of each co-author.
- The author is required to sign a non-exclusive license agreement granting the publisher the right to distribute the manuscript by any means of conveyance.
- The author is required to submit a statement authorizing the Journal to process the author’s personal data (GDPR).
- Principles guiding the review process
- The review process consists of two stages.
- The manuscript is reviewed by at least two members of the Editorial Board and by external reviewers.
- Manuscripts that have been approved for publication by at least two members of the Editorial Team, are submitted for external review.
- Manuscripts forwarded for external review are evaluated by two independent reviewers as part of a double-blind peer review process.
- Reviewers are expected to uphold an objective view during the review process and provide solid reasons in support of their recommendation.
- Reviewers should have sufficient knowledge to review the manuscript properly.
- The reviewers’ decisions are kept confidential during the review process.
