In the article I criticize Laudan’s critical examination of the realist view that truth is the aim of science. I show that (1) also the aspiration for solving as many problems as possible (the aim preferred and promoted by Laudan) is the utopian aim of science, (2) Laudan’s standpoint is selfdestructive. I try to define the absolute truth.
