Informational bridge between biology and sociology

Abstract

The discussion among philosophers of biology ongoing for  several years on the concept of information in biology can shed light on past failures to apply Darwinian theory to culture based on this concept. It reveals the far-reaching homologies between the biological and sociocultural world, which allows to refine the sociological Darwinism program at the crucial points.
