Abstract

This paper focuses on the presentation of a Polish emigrant’s opinion which they shared on the online forum MojaWyspa.co.uk. The aim of this article is to analyse the comments for discrimination, which were published after the deadly attack on a 40-year-old Pole at the end of August 2016. The authors decided to analyse the theme of “Fatal beating Pole in Harlow”. The selection was made due to the number of comments (223) and also because of the emotionality of individual opinions. It is worth noting that among the 223 comments, 143 were related to various forms of discrimination, xenophobic attacks, the necessity of defending against violence and also because of it – antipathy against the British. Collected data indicate that the Poles feel increasingly alienated in the UK
