“A Little Bit Different – Look at Us”: Social Campaign and Overcoming Barriers

Abstract

In this article spots of the social campaign “A Little Bit Different – Look at Us” is analysed. The goal of the campaign is to overcome social barriers related to intellectual disability. Given the scale of popularity, it enjoyed considerable success. The author of the article attempted to answer a question, whether the goal has been achieved through the form and content of the message. Whether the success of the phase of overcoming, the taming of disability, will allow us to overcome social barriers to inclusion and to adopt a disability culture as equivalent to the dominant culture.
