Abstract

The present article deals with the nicknames based on expressive and emotional evaluation.
Those characteristics are based on conceptual partition of the world into the following categories:
WE - OUR - THEY - STRANGE. The categorization based on the principles WE (ARE GOOD)
- THEY (ARE BAD) is connected with explicit and implicit evaluation aimed at making the native
ethnos gracious and at insulting the foreign ethnos. Despite the ‘dipolar moment’, the appearance
of new nicknames at the given step of a language development is not easy to predict.
