Abstract

In the healthcare sector, waiting lists, i.e. lists of booked services, pursue the functional objective of ensuring appropriate prescriptions, organisation, fairness and timely access to healthcare services, optimising available resources. Decree Law No. 73 of 7 June 2024, converted into Law No. 107 of 29 July 2024, in line with this plan, strengthens the overall framework of the healthcare system, further orienting it towards a digital, transparent and user-friendly model, through concrete tools aimed at improving access to care, reducing waiting times and increasing the efficiency of the organisational structure.
