Abstract

One of Assoc. Prof. Piotr Gawliczek’s Ph.D. key areas of activities is his involvement in the NATO DEEP programme. During the timeframe, March 2013 – June 2021, he organized, co-organised and actively participated in over 140 trainings, conferences and various meetings involving NATO DEEP partners, located in countries such as: Ukraine, Georgia, Mongolia, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia. These trainings consisted mainly in introducing innovative methods of education and training, considering the development of digital competences of faculty members (How to teach?), and the development of relevant teaching and training programs/ curricula (What to teach?). It also relates to supporting the processes focused on to the implementation of comprehensive solutions in the field of distance learning and meeting the needs related to teaching English, especially military terminology, in accordance with the NATO STANAG 6001 standard.
