“Civitas et Lex” is an international, peer-reviewed, open access scholarly journal publishing articles in the fields of legal sciences, social sciences, humanities, and related research disciplines.

The journal was established in 2014 as a quarterly and is published by the Publishing House of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.

The journal is published by the Publishing House of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and operates within both national and international academic environments, collaborating with researchers and academic centres engaged in interdisciplinary research projects.

  1. Indexing and Evaluation

The journal is included in the list of scholarly journals of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Poland (currently 40 points, according to the applicable list).

In addition, the journal is included in the journal evaluation system of ANVUR (Italy).

  1. Peer Review Policy

All submitted manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review process conducted by independent subject-matter experts.

The editorial process is based on principles of scholarly integrity, transparency, and compliance with international standards for the evaluation of academic publications.

The editorial board follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

In particular, the journal adheres to principles concerning:

  • scientific integrity and research ethics,
  • plagiarism prevention,

  • retraction procedures in cases of ethical misconduct.

Authors are required to submit statements confirming the originality of their work.

No publication fees are charged (no APC – Article Processing Charges).
