This monography characterizes the german academic educational system on the basis of enclosed references and author’s experiences from his stay in Justus-Liebig University in Giessen. It covers some traditions in the german education, its progress and development, the actual situation and panned reforms of the educational process. Didactic programmes, structure of study and specific courses content are showed on some examples. An attempt of the comparison of the above-mentioned problems with the situation and planned reforms of polish educational system is performed.
