The Debate about the Nature of Consciousness and Resuscitation

Abstract

This paper consists of three parts: part 1 presents a general view of consciousness, part 2 presents the philosophical dedate about the nature of consciousness and its relation to the body in Cartesian philosophy, and the attempts of modern philosophy of mind to overcome his dualism, part 3 draws resuscitation into the philosphical debate.
