The Orient’s World in the Views Classical Philosophers of History

Abstract

The paper argues with the conception of Samuel Huntington from the book The Clash of civilizations, where he claimed, there is “Islam-civilization”. The author refers to the historiosophical analysis of Oswald Spengler, Feliks Koneczny and Arnold Toynbee, who claimed (generally) there is only one civilization in the discussed part of Asia and North Africa. In the opinion of author – we can give name “Orient” for this civilization. The paper contains theories of the Orient civilization according to the cited thinkers.
