The discussion of particular audio reports covers the methods of production and is particularly focused on the characteristic qualities of the radio medium and on the determination of its distinctive features. Since the article adopts a typology based on the reporters’ areas of interest, it investigates the following types of the genre: historical, political, social, psychological, investigational and artistic reports. Factors that determine whether an ordinary report recording can be perceived as an artistic radio form are indicated.
