Several remarks on black humour and social media

This article discusses selected aspects of the functioning of humorous channels in social
media. Research material comes from posts published on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
by Zakład Pogrzebowy A.S. Bytom, a fictitious funeral parlour. A common trait between
the author of the ludically-oriented social media profiles and their users is fondness for a
specific type of jokes, including black humour. Other important aspects are the promotion
of particular notions, a consistent outlook on the world and building and maintaining
(mini)-communities of laughter by posting content that can be read, watched, commented
on and/or shared with others.
