The article presents an outline of Gustaw Szpiet’s (1879-1937) life. Gustaw Szpiet was an outstanding Russian philosopher representing the phenomenological notion. The article also characterizes the main problems of his philosophy, which are: issues concerning the philosophy of language, the problems of philosophy of art, the programme of so called “positive psychology”, as well as historical and philosophical views.
