History, purpose, languages and thematic scope
“The Studies of Warmia” were founded in 1964. Untill 2010 they were the journal of the theological seminary “Hosianum” in Olsztyn. In the years 1964-2010 were published 47 volumes of the journal. In this time the periodical was a very important medium, which enabled the presentation of the effects of the scientific researches of the representatives connected with the local theological center.
“The Studies of Warmia” became the journal of the Theological Faculty of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn from 2011. The scholars from the Theological Faculty as well as from the other universities can present the effects of their inquiries. Every volume has the following sections: 1. philosophy, 2. theology, 3. family studies, 4. law, 5. history. Every periodical has the presentations of monographs and reports from the scientific conferences.
The aim of the journal is to offer scholars and practitioners (in particular from Poland and Ukraine) representing the humanities and social sciences an exchange of experiences, as well as providing essential knowledge in the fields of philosophy, theology, family studies, law and history.
Possible language for publishing texts: Polish, English, German, Russian, Italian, French and Spanish.
The journal has national (Poland) and international coverage (essentially the same continent, in particular Ukraine).
