“Civitas et Lex” is an international peer-reviewed open-access academic journal published by the Publishing House of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. The journal has been issued since 2014 as a quarterly and operates under the auspices of the NATO DEEP programme in cooperation with the international research team CEDICLO. In 2021, it was included in the list of scientific journals maintained by ANVUR (Italy).

The aim of the journal is to publish scholarly articles, facilitate the exchange of research findings, and support discussion on contemporary social and humanistic issues, with particular emphasis on early-career researchers.

Its thematic scope covers nine disciplines: history, communication and media studies, security studies, pedagogy, public administration, legal sciences, canon law, psychology, and interdisciplinary studies in the social sciences and humanities.

The journal also publishes case notes, reviews, commentaries, and reports from academic conferences. It is issued in both print (p-ISSN 2392-0300) and electronic (e-ISSN 2449-5522) versions. Submissions are accepted in congress languages and in Polish via the UWM Journal Platform (https://czasopisma.uwm.edu.pl/index.php/cel).
