Philosophical and Theological Concept of Work by Jan Paweł II

Bogusław Pliszka

Abstract

The author of the article attempts to present modern catholic concept of work on the example of Jan Pawel’s II thought. In the article both, philosophical and theological aspects of human work are analyzed, and the great emphasis is put on the roots of dehumanization of work. As work never exists separately of social life, the author of the article discusses also the Pope’s postulate concerning such political and economic system that would favour the optimal realization of values resulting from human work.
