Abstract

The author of the article attempts to present in brief the problems connected with the ways of perceiving photography as the aesthetic phenomenon. The author touches upon the issues concerning its evaluation, beauty, truth, fiction, as well as its place within the art forms. The author’s considerations are presented in the wider context of the place ant the status of the aesthetic categories of the modern culture.
