Abstract

The article examines some examples of Polish contemporary art from the past few years, asking how artists interpret the issue of plants. Humanities, mainly due to posthumanism, reevaluated the relationship between humans and plants, depriveng humans from the central position. At the same time, a separate debate on the subjectivity of plants is taking place in the field of art. The author, focusing on the broadly understood issue of plant movement, asks what place plants currently occupy in art, how their relationships with other organisms are depicted and what common places between human and non-human beings are pointed out by artists.
