Participation of the European Committee of the Regions in the discussion on the future of EU cohesion policy after 2027
Abstract
The article aims to show how the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is engaging in the debate on the future of the European Union’s (EU) cohesion policy after 2027. Therefore, in addition to preparing its own opinions on the matter, the CoR also undertakes a number of other activities to influence its final shape. These efforts particularly concern cooperation with other EU institutions within the EU decision-making process, as well as initiatives undertaken as part of the so-called Cohesion Alliance. All of this is intended to strengthen cohesion policy and ensure a just transition within the future EU investment framework, focused on supporting economic, social, and territorial cohesion.
