Implementation of the Bologna Process in the Higher Education Acts of Poland, Latvia, France, Romania, Greece, Czech Republic and Finland

The subject of this article is the Bologna Process implemented in higher education as an educational project. The theoretical aim of the work concerns the issues including the scope of the Bologna Process. Also to be taken into account in this work is a selection of legal documents of international scope, which are related to the Great University Charter55, the Sorbonne and Bologna Declarations and the communiqués of the ministers of higher education from 2001 to 2021. The practical aim is an attempt to assess whether the object scope of the Bologna Process understood as harmonization of European
education has been taken into account in the Act of 20 July 2018. – Law on Higher Education? In a comparative formula, the harmonization process and the implementation of the Bologna Decides have also been referred to the higher
education laws of Latvia, France, Romania, Greece, the Czech Republic and Finland. The author also intends to pay attention to other socio-educational processes, which may significantly determine the level of international competitiveness of Polish universities (Sorbonne Declaration, Lisbon Strategy and Convention, Atomium Culture and Copenhagen Process). The background of the
considerations included in this analysis is the reforms of the higher education system introduced by the Act of 27 July 2005. – Law on Higher Education. The Author has used the monographic method and partly the comparative
method.
