Abstract

The article attempts to prove the thesis that the authors creating science fiction take philosophical subject. The article is limited to two thematic fields: epistemology and ontology in the fantastic. Ontological issues stems from the same distinctions of quality inside the fantasy (fantasy literature, science fiction, amazing stories), which necessitated writing strategies in the methods of creation of an imaginary reality. In the framework of the epistemological issues the article focuses on the problem of imaginary scenarios of human contact with alien civilizations - and the implications arising from this unusual event - first of all philosophical (philosophical anthropology, epistemology).
