Historiosophical optimism as axiological foundation of the idea of progress

Abstract

Some authors cinsider progressive thinking as exceptional philosophical subject. They also emphasize, that it cannot be a matter of interest of professional historians. This opinion became a special point of departure to many discussion about pecularity of progressive thinking. The aim of the article is to show historiosophical context of progressive thought and its most important reference points. The assumption of the article is that historiosophical optimism is a basic foundation of idea of historical progress.
