Abstract

The aim of the article is to show Erich Fromm’s connections with utopian thinking. First we should decide if his philosophy is classical utopia or it contains the elements of utopian thinking. Adopting that his philosophy is not an utopia but utopianism, I show its connections with Freud’s psychoanalysis, Marks’s philosophy and Jewish messianism with their utopistic characteristics.
