Condition of Development of Agriculture in Poland

Roman Kisiel , Ryszard Stanisław Pałach

Abstract

as a whole has not yet crossed the critical point at the level of intensification of production above which permanent deformation of natural balance takes place. Local disturbances which are present do not result in Poland from excessively high capital input but are a derivative of insufficient application of e.g. chemicals. The decrease in the level of input of the means of agricultural production during the last decade resulted mainly from deterioration of relations of prices when consideration for economic aspects was forced upon the production processes. An additional difficulty was posed by problems with sale of agricultural products and adjustment of their range and quality to the demand of the consumers. Introduction of ecological agriculture requires creating interest among producers on one hand and acceptance of the economic consequences of that method of farming by consumers on the other. Agricultural production in ecological agriculture must not only be harmonized with the natural environment but also profitable.
