The Attitude of Representatives of the Religious Community the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church Toward Work

Abstract

The article presents the results of qualitative research on the attitude of representatives of the religious community the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church toward work. The research was carried out using the method of interviews with 22 members of  this Church, who are professionally active (including 6 clerics). The interview questionnaire concerned the following issues: the role of work in human life, work and social status, work and other spheres of life, work and morality and religion, entrepreneurship, commitment to work, work and wealth, spending of earned money, unemployment and employment, the importance of remuneration for work, perception of the employer. The article discusses the specificity of socio-religious behavior represented by members of this religious community in the environment and time of their professional activity.
